WE'RE HIRING – CHEMICAL CONSULTANT (MANUFACTURING & WATER TREATMENT)

We are seeking an experienced and highly knowledgeable Chemical Consultant to provide expert technical guidance across chemical manufacturing and water treatment operations. The successful candidate will support process optimisation, quality improvement, safety compliance, and technical problem-solving while advising clients and internal teams on industry best practices.

This role requires a senior chemical professional with extensive experience in chemical processes, manufacturing operations, water treatment technologies, and chemical safety management.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical advice on chemical manufacturing and water treatment processes to improve efficiency, quality, and operational performance.

• Evaluate existing processes and recommend improvements in chemical formulation, production methods, and treatment solutions.

• Support the design, optimisation, and troubleshooting of chemical production and water treatment systems.

• Advise clients and internal teams on best practices, process improvements, and technical solutions.

• Analyse operational challenges and provide effective solutions to improve reliability and performance.

• Review chemical processes, materials, and applications to ensure compliance with quality and safety requirements.

• Develop technical guidelines, procedures, and recommendations for chemical handling, storage, and application.

• Ensure adherence to chemical safety protocols, environmental requirements, and relevant industry standards.

• Support research and development activities for new chemical products and treatment technologies.

• Conduct technical assessments, audits, and performance reviews of manufacturing and water treatment operations.

• Provide training and knowledge sharing to technical teams on chemical processes, safety, and operational practices.

• Prepare technical reports, evaluations, and recommendations for management and clients.

• Maintain awareness of emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory requirements related to chemicals and water treatment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Science, or a related field.

• Postgraduate qualifications in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline will be an advantage.

• Minimum 15+ years' experience in chemical manufacturing, industrial chemistry, and water treatment processes.

• Strong understanding of chemical properties, reactions, formulations, and industrial applications.

• Extensive knowledge of chemical safety protocols, hazardous material handling, and regulatory compliance.

• Proven experience in process optimisation, troubleshooting, and technical consulting.

• Experience providing technical advice to clients, engineering teams, and operational personnel.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.

• Ability to work independently and provide strategic technical guidance.
